San Francisco

Last week when we got to the airport, I was going through my camera settings to make sure that it was set up for my "travel" style of photography. These settings are never set in stone, and as I was entering the capture settings I had the wild idea of shooting nothing but JPG's and setting my camera to Monochrome or black and white. I actually like my black and white settings more in my camera than I do post processing them. Plus, I don't like to post process all of my photos. So off we went to San Francisco with the intent of shooting all black and white and no RAW.

We had so much fun cruising around the Bay area. We spent a day in Napa going to a couple of wineries. We took two tours and they were both fantastic. This was by far our most relaxing day of our vacation, with good food, good wine and tons of photos. Still all in black and white. Some people at the Sterling Vineyard recommended a restaurant in Napa called UVA. It was amazing! I strongly recommend them if you happen to be in Napa. On the way back from Napa, we took the Sausalito route and went down to the water across the Bay. It was pretty chilly but we stopped for ice cream and coffee anyhow. There is a great look out point over the Golden Gate that we took Ryan and Crystal to see. It is amazing and I am always shocked and awed every time we go there. The Golden Gate and city are surreal from this angle. And yes, still all in black and white. More to come...
