The Jensen Family

This was one of those families that can't make a bad picture. I met them in Logan and was a little apprehensive as I have not done a lot of photography work up there. But my fears were short lived as we found some great locations and the family rocked the rest of it.
Colleen and Chad have three gorgeous kids and each has such a different personality. The boys had that perfect cocky look that would place them squarely in the middle of an Abercrombie ad. And Kaislyn... WOW!!! She is absolutely adorable.
I had so much fun photographing this super cute family. We spent a few hours together and it just flew by. Next time I photograph them, it will have to be in their motorcycle gear.

The Roe's

I am constantly amazed at the amount of time parents devote to their children's activities. It seems like a full time job. So is the case with Mike and Kathy. After going back and forth with our schedules, trying to find a time that worked between their two jobs, football, and dance, we finally squeezed in a time bright and early on a Saturday morning. Too early. The sun wasn't even up and it was so cold. But they were awesome sports and joked constantly about how warm it was.
KiKi was absolutely darling and constantly had me laughing with the things she said and did. She definitely runs the household.
Two super cute kids with huge personalities. Lawson had the best serious look and gorgeous eyes. We had a blast wandering along the trails, climbing over rocks, and freezing!

The Hotties

At Ghiradelli Square

San Francisco

Last week when we got to the airport, I was going through my camera settings to make sure that it was set up for my "travel" style of photography. These settings are never set in stone, and as I was entering the capture settings I had the wild idea of shooting nothing but JPG's and setting my camera to Monochrome or black and white. I actually like my black and white settings more in my camera than I do post processing them. Plus, I don't like to post process all of my photos. So off we went to San Francisco with the intent of shooting all black and white and no RAW.

We had so much fun cruising around the Bay area. We spent a day in Napa going to a couple of wineries. We took two tours and they were both fantastic. This was by far our most relaxing day of our vacation, with good food, good wine and tons of photos. Still all in black and white. Some people at the Sterling Vineyard recommended a restaurant in Napa called UVA. It was amazing! I strongly recommend them if you happen to be in Napa. On the way back from Napa, we took the Sausalito route and went down to the water across the Bay. It was pretty chilly but we stopped for ice cream and coffee anyhow. There is a great look out point over the Golden Gate that we took Ryan and Crystal to see. It is amazing and I am always shocked and awed every time we go there. The Golden Gate and city are surreal from this angle. And yes, still all in black and white. More to come...
