Kirei Coconut

I have never really cared much for Island design. Perhaps because I live in Utah and the closest I come to anything island related is Rumbi Grill or the fake palm tree in some seedy bar. (That reminds me of a time we found this super cool Tiki Bar in Boise. I believe it was called The Monkey Bar. Check it out if you make it up to Boise.) Anyhow, I saw these tiles over at Kirei and was floored by the modern look and feel of these coconut tiles. Of course they have been used in moderation and add a ton of drama and texture to the room. I love textures. They make the room have more feeling. I love what they did with the tiles and the mirror frame. On top of looking cool they are recycled from discarded coconut shells. So you are helping the environment while making your house look awesome!

While you are over at Kirei, check out the new Kirei Chocolate Bamboo. I feel some Island pieces may be in my future.
