Solitude

We had another kick butt ride yesterday. It is so nice going into the mountains to ride when the valley is pushing 100 degrees. There were nine guys that showed up and we did the new trail that was just recently built. If you want a good work out, this is definitely the trail for you. It was awesome and here are few pics from the ride. I was having fun trying to blur photos to show the speed as the riders passed me on the trail. We even saw a moose and her baby on the way down the canyon. More photos.

The trail looks awesome and somewhat shady, which helps when it is so hot. How do you get the person to not blur with the background?
I love it that you have such great pictures of the things you do. Amazing that you saw a moose and calf!
Jan, getting the background to blur without the person blurring is called panning. You select a slow shutter speed (depends on how fast the object is moving) and you move the camera at their speed as you press the shutter. Takes some practice, but it really gives you a sense of speed.
