Tulips in the Rain

It has been raining this evening and when I came in the front door I noticed how vibrant the tulips looked. I love how the rain droplets collect on the petals. I went in and grabbed my tripod and camera. It is getting dark and I had to use 3 tenths of a second shutter speed to get flower properly exposed. I was just glad it wasn't windy. It would have been a little better if the other tulip wasn't in the background... Oh well. I like it anyhow.

I am still trying to figure out my shudder speeds and what speed works best for what shot. I love the rain droplets on it!

Jan, I rarely use Shutter Priority on my camera. I always shoot Aperture Priority or Manual. With "A" you control your depth of field and just make sure you have enough like to hand hold your camera. Just keep taking pictures, and before you know it all of this stuff will be second nature. Speaking of... Where are your photos?
