Samsung ISU World Cup

We made it out again to see the US Team compete in short track speed skating. I think it is impossible to really describe the energy at an event like this. It is intense!

The US Team didn't do as well as they did last year, but it was still great to see. The Korean team broke the world record in the relay. They love to play up The Fastest Ice on Earth.

Here are some photos.

Those are some great photos. I'm amazed at the angles that they skate at! Incredible! I'd fall flat on my face!

I love the reflections in the ice. They are skating so close to it on the corners that it is easy to see.

It really is amazing. They say that some of the skaters reach 30 mph. In many of my photos you would see a spray of water and ice they rounded a corner. You do see them fall though and this year they have added more padding and height to the pads around the ice. I would would think it would still hurt though.
