There was a great article in this months issue of Popular Photography on "Classic" photography. The main premise of the article is about shooting photography with a classic look in mind. The photography in the article did look like old fashioned black and white photography, but shot with both film and digital. It reminded me of photos that I get with my Holga. They are grainy and show a lot of noise and you almost welcome the soft focus and grain of the photos. In a day when everyone wants smooth perfect photos at ISO 1600, it is kind of nice to accept the "imperfections" of the classics. Of course, a lot of what you shoot won't lend well to the classic look because it is full of modern objects. I really love the look of the photos and enjoy the fact that I can enjoy the photo without worrying about it being perfect.

Sounds like a great article. I love the photos you posted. You know that I like the imperfections and kind of get tired of people making photos so perfect they don't even look real. Thanks for sharing!
