My sister Jill has been taking a photography class and has been asking me questions for things she doesn't understand. I am a hands-on learner and don't really learn things by being told. I need to get out there and do it. Jill is the same way. We were talking the other night and decided that we would go somewhere and practice some of the things she was learning. Last night we decided to go out to the Salt Flats today. It is an interesting place and absolutely gorgeous. Perfect for practicing and learning. Plus, she was bringing her kids with her and that gives her a little more variety to shoot. We had a great time shooting, although it was freezing. The weather was crazy and was raining all around us. It made for some dramatic photos.

Beautiful pictures. I have never been to the salt flats but it looks like a fun place! I love the mountains in the background of your pictures. The storms look amazing!
