Master

Here is the master bathroom after being grouted. I am really excited
about it. We are putting in white base boards which will make the wall
color really pop. Carpets are being installed as we speak!

Twitter Interactive

If you are into photography, you have to check this out. This is an idea I have never heard of and in the photography world is very unprecedented. Mark Wallace is doing an interactive photoshoot and posting directly to Twitter, Flickr and his blog as the shoot progresses. Now, a lot of photographers put together videos and behind the scene's photos of shoots. But what Mark is doing is putting this online as it happens. I have been watching and reading and he is going into detail as he packs for the shoot, prepares his gear, wardrobe, makeup, etc. ALL IN REAL TIME! This is awesome. It gets better. You can ask questions via Twitter and he responds (albeit through one of his assistants who it running the computer). He has another photographer that is shooting behind the scene photos and you can request photos from him if you want to see something in particular. This absolutely amazing, and talk about beneficial. Major props to Mark for doing this. It has to be a ton of extra work that he doesn't need to do. Thanks Mark!

Gutted Bathroom

I finally got the bathroom completely gutted. We were going to keep
the cabinets, but said screw it and tore them out too. There was a
mirror glued to the entire wall that I tore out last night. That was
scary and no it didn't make it one piece. We weren't planning on
reusing it anyhow. Repairing the drywall sucked!

Storm Coming?

We have some crazy clouds today. They are a little more intimidating due to the red filter, but I like them. They almost have an infrared look to them.

Water

I have been totally fascinated with water today. Everywhere I look I am seeing interesting water patterns. This one wasn't taken with the iPhone, but I find it just as interesting. It is the side window in my car. As I was driving I wanted to take a picture of the rear window with the cool light patterns from the car behind me coming through the water on the rear window. I thought better of it though.

iPhone Photo of the Day

I was standing at a window drinking a cup of coffee and looking out at
the dreary day, and I noticed how the water was pooling up on the car
right outside of the window. I was mesmerized by the shapes and
patterns as they moved across the shiny metal surface. Where's my
iPhone? I read somewhere how it isn't the execution of art that is so
important, but being able to see it in the first place. Interesting.

Valentine's Birthday

It is my grandma's 92 birthday today. My parents had a wonderful party for her today and we had most of our family over to celebrate. It gets pretty crazy with all of our family members together under one roof, but it was wonderful being together. My grandparents are so cute together and I had a blast taking pictures of them. They are beautiful.

I was running multiple camera's today and of course will have to wait to get the film developed from my other two, but I am posting some of the photos I did take digitally. It is crazy how quickly information flows now. Half the time I blog directly from my phone and upload posts via email. It is basically instantaneous. After I get home and develop the film, it could be a week out before posting about today. I love technology!

Nick and Rachel

Dinner with Nick, Rachel, Grandpa and Grandma Johnson, mom, dad,
Grandma Baldwin, Susan and I. It is my Grandma Johnson's 92 birthday
tomorrow. Happy Birthday Grandma!

Film

I have a collection of film sitting in my fridge. Honestly, it is kind
of annoying. Open the door too quickly and you will get a few rolls
falling to the floor. They also take up an entire row. Some of the
rolls I have had for years and wonder if they are even usable. The
other day I decided to either throw them out or use them. Keeping a
few rolls around is manageable, but this is getting out of hand. I am
taking my Holga, Canon A1 and my Nikon with me this weekend. I have
loaded the two with Ilford Delta 400, which is my favorite black and
white film. Shooting film is always a test in patience for me, so this
should be fun. I will be sure to post some pics next week.

Holga Tree

Well, it isn't the iPhone photo of the day, but a cool photo nevertheless. Everyone should have a Holga. I am going to bring it with me to my Grandma's 92 birthday this weekend. That should be awesome!

These Are A Must Have

I bought these Bose Quiet Comfort II headphones prior to our trip to
Thailand a few months ago. I had wanted to try them out before
dropping $300 for them, but never made it around to the Bose store. I
can tell you now that Bose got ripped off on this deal! They are worth
every bit of $300 and more. I use them almost daily at work and can't
tell you how nice it is to block everyone else out and really focus on
my design. We share an office with our purchasing department and they
get a little boisterous. With my headphones on I would never know it.

When we got back into LA from Seoul Susan asked if the kids in front
of us were driving me crazy too. I didn't even know they were there! I
watched three movies and was completely oblivious to everything else.

I highly recommend them. Bose has a $50 discount and free shipping
until March 1st. FYI.

Cave of Roses

I wanted to post a few quick photos from a band I shot last night. They were a blast to shoot and, as always, awesome to work with. The show was great too! Congratulations on your 2009 City Weekly nomination guys! I hope you win.

Chicago

Susan took this great photo with my iPhone as we were landing at O'hare. I love how the engine is just entering the frame. Did I mention how cold Chicago is?!
